Not getting DMs from Scout?
Check your Discord settings: Settings → Content & Social → Social Permissions → Direct Messages. Make sure “Allow direct messages from server members” is enabled for the server where Scout is installed.
Not getting invites?
Scout only sends invites when Discord shows you as Online or Idle. Check your status by clicking your profile (bottom left in Discord) and make sure you have a green or yellow dot. Also check:
- You haven’t muted the game or host (check with /preferences)
- Your visibility isn’t set to Hidden (check with /preferences)
- You haven’t snoozed invites
Not finding players for your LFG?
- Make sure you join the voice channel after creating your LFG — invites don’t go out until you’re in voice
- Use /bump to repost and send fresh invites
- Connect your GameTree account with /connect for better matching and friend invites
- Try playing during peak hours when more players are online
- Schedule sessions in advance to give players time to discover and RSVP
/connect isn’t working?
The /connect command requires your GameTree username plus either your email or date of birth for verification. Make sure:
- Your GameTree username is exact (case-sensitive)
- Your email or birthday matches what’s on your GameTree profile
- If you don’t have a GameTree account yet, download the app at gametree.me first
How do I end a session?
Type /end. Only the host can end a session. Sessions also end automatically when all players leave the voice channel.
How do I leave a scheduled session?
Type /leave to see your scheduled sessions and leave any you’ve RSVP’d to.
How do I stop getting invites for a specific game?
When you receive an invite DM, click “Mute this game” to stop future invites for that game. You can also manage your muted games list with /preferences.
