There are several ways to start playing with Scout.
Create a live session
Type /lfg and select a game. Scout will create a private voice and text channel for your group. Once you join the voice channel, Scout starts sending invites to relevant friends and compatible players in waves.
You can optionally set a max player count and add a description (e.g., “Ranked, need support”).
Schedule a session for later
Add a time when creating your LFG:
/lfg game: League of Legends when: tomorrow 8pm
Scout supports natural language scheduling: “2pm”, “tomorrow”, “Monday”, “in 2 hours”, or specific dates up to 8 days ahead. You’ll need to set your timezone first with /timezone.
For scheduled sessions, Scout will send reminders at 1 hour and 5 minutes before start, and create the voice channel at start time.
Game detection prompts
If you have Rich Presence enabled in Discord, Scout will notice when you launch a multiplayer game and send you a DM with active sessions for that game or an option to create one. You can snooze these prompts for an hour or mute them for specific games.
Join an existing session
Type /sessions to browse active sessions in your server. You can filter by game, platform, or timing (live vs. scheduled). Click “Join” on any live session or “RSVP” on a scheduled one.
You’ll also receive invite DMs when friends or compatible players create sessions for games you play.
Managing your session
- /bump — Need more players? Repost your LFG and send fresh invites
- /end — End your session. Scout cleans up all channels, posts, and invites
- /leave — Leave a scheduled session you’ve RSVP’d to
Sessions also end automatically when all players leave the voice channel. After every session, Scout sends a summary to all participants.
