Valorant is an incredibly popular competitive first-person shooter that has not only not lost popularity in five years but also receives regular edits, updates, and additional content. Of course, this affects the Valorant download size, and many PC users are worried that their device will not be able to run it. How Big Is Valorant In 2025?

At the moment, the installed Valorant takes up about 50-55 GB of space on your system drive:

• First, you download the installer executable from the official game site, which takes up no more than 100 MB of space;
• Then you run the installer, which will download the game build, and it actually takes up about 50 GB of space.

To write this article in February 2025, I downloaded the installer again, and it showed that the current Valorant size was 49.4 GB.

After you download the installer executable from the official website and run it, you can select the place where you want to install the build and see the exact Valorant size. 

Why Does Valorant Take Up So Much Space?

First of all, you should understand that the Valorant download size may change depending on updates, fixes, and additional content that the developers periodically release.

Despite the apparent simplicity of the graphics, Valorant uses high-resolution textures and assets for character models and maps, directly affecting the final size of the game. The same applies to the sound design.

Let’s not forget about the presence of anti-cheat software in the game client, which also takes up a certain amount of space from the total Valorant size and regularly receives updates.

Storage Requirement: Does Valorant Require SSD?

SSD is not required for the normal functioning of the game. If you install Valorant on HDD, you will not experience any particular problems.
