Game Sessions are LFG groups you can use whenever you want to game with friends, or social and non-toxic players. They are also the primary way to level up in GameTree. You can join live games, or ones scheduled in advance. After joining you will be put in a chat group with the other members. When a session starts, GameTree will call you to make it easy for the players to connect. If you miss the call, or join mid-session, just click the join call button from within the interface of that Session. There will be a chat log in the Session, and also a clone of it created in your Chats for easy access. After a couple weeks of inactivity, the chat will archive itself. Be sure to attend Sessions you RSVP for! After the Session the host will report who attended for rewarding XP. Missing Sessions hurts your Attendance Rate and ability to earn some badges. If you are missing XP message the host to confirm attendance.

After the Session, you need to declare who attended from the Notifications on the right (desktop) or Bell icon on the Sessions home page (mobile).
You are welcome to invite people from outside GameTree to game Sessions. You can click the Invite Friends option from the “…” in the top right of the Session page to get a link or send the invite via popular messaging apps like Telegram or WhatsApp. Anybody you meet can quickly sign up in a couple minutes and join the Session from the Sessions page, or following your link. You can also invite friends within GameTree to game Sessions by clicking the “…” in the Game Session chat at the top right. You can also click the green person with a “+” icon in the Game Session page. When creating a Session, there is also an option to invite friends after the Session details page.
Once you create a profile, our app will provide you with matches based on personality, gaming preferences, in-game motivation, current location, and more. Once a match is found, you will be connected in a chat. You can see each other’s profile information and understand why you are matched.
“Match” is a screen where you receive matches according to your gaming preferences. Get to it by clicking Find Players on the left (desktop) or the Friends selector at the top of the Discover home page (mobile). You can choose to skip or message your matches. You may also use distance and age filters to help you find exactly what you're looking for. A good example might be a board game party you're about to throw, selecting those who are less than 5 miles from your current location.
All conversations with your matches are located in the “Connections” section.
This test reflects your in-game motivation that helps us find you a perfect match to play with. This test checks what you value in games the most, like story, challenge, fellowship, graphics, etc. It is known to game designers as the Aesthetics of Play, but we are the first to apply it to gamers directly.
We have created a test that is based on Myers-Briggs personality framework (which, in its turn is close to Socionics and Jungian Typology). It's a psychological test that reflects your personality traits and can tell which games your type tend to prefer and which people you will connect well with.
We are supporting all types of platforms, whether you like to play tabletop games or video games on a PC, console, or mobile. As long as you love to play we will support your platform.
You can get better matches by providing us with some information about yourself in the “Profile” section of the app, including your personality type, your in-game motivation, your preferred platforms and genres as well as adding and rating games you like most.
