The bot helps gamers find and join sessions quickly, manage invites, and build a universal gamer profile across games and platforms.
Yes, the bot is completely free to use. Additionally, GameTree is a Public Benefit Corporation, so we can better prioritise providing you value over extracting as much profit as possible.
You can technically join linked LFGs and browse /sessions without an account, but you won’t receive personal invites from highly compatible matches. The LFG system works significantly better when linked to your GameTree account.
Step 1: Download the app, create your profile, and join the GameTree Discord server.
Step 2: Join the server and use /connect or link Discord through the app.
Step 3: Use /sessions to find ongoing sessions or /lfg to create your own curated private lobby.
Based on your preferences in games, genres, platforms, personality, values, and more, we use machine learning to find top matches. If you are a strong match, the bot will DM you an invite with options to join, learn more, or mute future invites.
Use /help to see all bot commands. We also have dedicated instruction and FAQ channels, or you can raise a support ticket to talk directly with a team member.
After every session, the bot sends a DM with a summary and feedback form where you can report issues or players who violate GameTree community values.
Check Discord settings → Content & Social → Social Permissions → Direct Messages. Enable DMs from server members to receive bot messages.
Make sure you can receive bot DMs and that your Discord status is set to Online (green dot). Invites are only sent when you are online to prevent spam.
Once your session starts, the bot will tell you how many matches were invited. You can use /bump to invite more players, or add friends using /addfriend.
