The crossplay implementation was more extensive and supported the following modes: Time Trial, Ranked Multiplayer, Two-Player Career, and Custom Leagues via EA Racenet.

Unlike previous games in the series, where Time Trial leaderboards were separated by platform, in F1 23, they became cross-platform, allowing you to see your results and the results of other players on other platforms. However, you can still filter results by platform if you want to compare your results with players on the same platform.

In F1 24, crossplay was improved and continued to develop. Crossplay was available immediately at the release with support for all current PC platforms (Steam, Epic Games), PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. All competitive modes in the game, namely Time Trial, Multiplayer Grand Prix, Ranked, Two-Player Career, and F1 World, are available in crossplay.
