The number of modifications for Minecraft is so huge that it will be difficult for an unprepared user to figure it out. 1. Download Minecraft Forge from the official website and make sure that the version of Minecraft and Minecraft Forge match.
2. Create a mods folder in the Minecraft directory if it does not exist.
3. Download the Minecraft mod you would like to play with friends.
4. Modify the mod and run the game.
5. In Minecraft, select Play.
6. Select the Edit button next to the Realm you want to invite your friend to.
7. Select the Members button.
8.  If you are already friends with the person you want to invite, skip to the next step. If you are not already friends, select the Find Friends button. Enter your friend’s gamertag into the field and press Enter. Select the Add Friend button.
9. Select the Invite button next to your friend’s gamertag on your Friends list.
